SYLLABUS FOR THE FOUNDATIONS COURSE
Objectives

The curriculum for the foundation class has been designed to make an art student fully aware of the following:-
Handling tools and texture of various nature.
Understanding colours , texture and value.
understanding basic shapes and form.
Observation of nature and man-made objects.
Relation and inter-relation of space/ shape of form.
Fundamentals of design.
Creativity in self expression.
Syllabii

The foundation course will be of one years's duaration and will be common to all the branches in Art Education viz.,
Fine Art / Drawing and painting
Sculputre
Applied Art

The following will be the scheme of teaching in the foundation course, it's subjects and number of hours for each subject for an academic year.
